About The Laboratory
The Laboratory of Intelligent Materials and Systems (IMS Lab) at Nanyang Technological University pioneers cutting-edge research in emerging non-volatile memory, spintronics, and advanced sensory hardware. Our primary objective is to accelerate the development of energy-efficient intelligent technologies.
Our multidisciplinary team conducts comprehensive simulations for multi-scale device and circuit designs, accompanied by hands-on fabrication using advanced micro- and nano-engineering techniques. The laboratory hosts state-of-the-art facilities for thin-film deposition, lithography, and precision magnetic/electronic characterization.
Extending beyond computing hardware, our research encompasses micro- and nano-electromechanical systems (NEMS/MEMS) engineered for precision magnetic sensing in biological and diagnostic applications. We actively work with global industry leaders for technology translational solutions while driving fundamental discoveries alongside top international research institutions.
